What inspired you to start your business?
Ultimately, what inspired me to start my own business is that I wanted to be my own boss. There's nothing more liberating than working for yourself.
What challenges have you faced as a woman in business?
Not only am I a woman in business but I'm also Filipino. Being a woman and a minority in a male dominated field 20 years ago, I've faced put downs, racism, have had competitors lie about my company practices, you name it.
How has being a WPO member helped your business?
Being a WPO member has helped me manage corporate issues that arise. The shared experiences and advice I've received at the monthly chapter meetings have been priceless.
What is the best piece of business advice that you have ever received?
The best managers are the ones that are always teaching you something.
What is your favorite WPO event you've attended? Why?
The annual regional Greater Bay Area chapter event. I was just a guest, and it cemented my desire for me to become a WPO member!
